I was a young girl,

back when this happened.

So, I went fishing

with my cousin,

and with my grandads.

We went to this riverbank

to go fishing.

And I got down

into the water

to hunt for prawns.

So I'm moving around collecting up prawns into … I had no

bag handy, so

I’m just stuffing them into my bra, OK!

Anyway I'm moving along

and there was some old fishing line

underwater there,

where I was.

And my foot got stuck in it,

while I’m in the water, like right underwater.

And I was trying to stretch up,

but the water was right up to here,

and I'm like ...

And I could see

my cousin, and grandpas,

and I sung out to him,

‘Hey Grandpa!’ but then I sank down again,

and finally my cousin noticed me.

'What's up cuz?’, but too late, I’ve sunk down again.

That old fishing line was pulling me under.

And Grandpa came down

and raised me up out of the water,

and carried me back to the

bank

I mean ‘derri’,

sorry, I should have said 'derri’.
